The Challenge

This front garden was in need of a thorough clean-up, having become overgrown and neglected, with wild garlic taking over in many areas. The clients wanted a low-maintenance design that provided privacy from the nearby busy road. Our goal was to clear the space, enhance its appearance, and introduce practical elements for screening.

The Garden Design and Creation

We began by clearing out the overgrown vegetation, transforming the space into a clean, manageable canvas. To create privacy, we planted Portuguese Laurels along the front, providing a natural screen that would grow into an effective, attractive barrier.

To complement the greenery, we installed a rustic chestnut post and rail fence, adding character and a traditional touch that suited the garden’s surroundings. The verge was re-turfed to freshen up the space, and we finished the garden with a layer of mulch in the borders, keeping the plants tidy and improving moisture retention.

The New Garden Landscape

The result is a neat, welcoming front garden that offers privacy and requires minimal maintenance. The Portuguese Laurels, chestnut fencing, and freshly turfed verge create a cohesive look that feels both natural and refined. The clients were thrilled with the transformation, and we’re proud of the team’s work on this charming project.
